Keep up with Tanya Nicolle

Tanya has been selected to be one of the artists to perform at the Pounding the Pavement show, an Island Fringe production in partnership with the Confederation Centre of the Arts, taking place August 12th-14th in the Confederation Centre's Amptheatre. Tickets $25. Details here.

The show will consist of several performances by artists of different genres. Tanya will be performing a 15 minute comedy set - titled The Lonely Comedian - a compilation of her darkest jokes which explore her struggles with mental illness, disordered eating, and POV on societal issues. (Mature themes: mental illness, suicide, eating disorder, minor cursing)

In June 2020, Tanya received an arts grant in support of her comedic writing, provided from the PEI Arts Grants Program through Innovation PEI. This grant will allow her to attend a comedy writing class off-island, over an 8 week period, to study joke writing & comedic performance under renowned Canadian comedian, Nikki Payne.

Tanya Nicolle launched The Lonely Comedian - a satire news outlet - in Summer 2020, for all your mental health needs. Articles feature "Everything that isn't Anything." Go to site Here.

PAST WRITING PROJECTS

The Marshfield Maiden

The Marshfield Maiden was "your grandfather's newspaper." It featured articles about rural folk, artists & artisans, farmers, fisherman, folklore, poetry, tall tales, and community news, hailing from Prince Edward Island. The Marshfield Maiden closed January 2019. But don't worry, you can still read all the Maiden's past stories Here.
